01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament continues to show as a prospect on the field. In the OF, she displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as she takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. She works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to her target. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. She moves well laterally with range improving as she improves as she increases foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry with arm strength as she builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate she continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (61 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable, works hard to be the best player she can be, and is a team player.
07/13/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Richmond, VA Ryan continues to show improvements in her softball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are now solid as she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she works around balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved, through an open setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as she utilizes her lower half more efficiently. Ryan has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as she continues to progress her game.
05/30/2019 - Softball Factory College World Series - Futures Select Training Ryan is a 2025 left handed outfielder with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has an athletic pre pitch motion and tracks the ball well off of contact. She moves through each play with solid momentum and positions herself well behind the ball to come through with solid momentum. Offensively, she is relaxed in the box and has a short stride to the ball. She keeps her bat level through the zone and makes consistent contact. She barrels up the ball and can hit to all parts of the field. Overall, Ryan has a great attitude and is engaged at all times.
