12/29/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA Samantha is a 2022 right handed pitcher and shortstop with a developing skill set. In the infield, Samantha has quick footwork and is agile in her range. She stays low in her fielding position and makes a clean exchange to her target. She is quick in her action and keeps her momentum forward through the play at all times. Her throws are accurate and on line and she is smooth when fielding the ball. On the mound, Samantha has good speed and has a powerful presence on the mound. She extends through on her release and keeps an open hip direction. Her screw ball is her strongest pitch and she creates a tight spin on this pitch to throw batters off. Offensively, Samantha has a open set up in the batters box and a short stride to the ball. She is fluid and smooth in her rhythm and stays center in her balance. Her hips and hands work well together and she is explosive with her bat speed. Samantha makes hard contact and stays on plane throughout her swing. Overall, Samantha has great work ethic and is very coachable. If she continues to keep working hard she will do what it takes to get her game to the next level.
