08/24/2013 - College PREP - Bear, DE Sammie is an evolving SS with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she has sure hands, plays through the ball well, hustles, and is assertive in her backhand. Working on fielding the ball out front will help her make quick, consistent transfers. Overall, Sammie is an aggressive athlete and has a confident approach to playing defense. At the plate, she uses a square set up with a back load and keeps her balance centered as she aggressively attacks the ball. She shows potential for power and will benefit from utilizing the lower half, ultimately, allowing her to use all hitting fields effectively. Overall, Sammie has a good frame at 5'3 and has athletic ability to aid in her continued development as a player.
