12/27/2014 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Sarah is a 2016 third baseman that is continuing to develop her skill set. Defensively, Sarah has a ready fielding position. She receives the ball with soft hands and moves well side to side. Sarah has a good transition into her throwing position and makes accurate throws across the diamond. Sarah will benefit from staying low and taking better angles to the ball. Offensively, Sarah uses a square to open setup in the box. She has on time rhythm, which helps her with a timing mechanism. Sarah makes contact with a level bat angle making solid contact at times. She is eager to learn, asks questions, and shows the drive to better her skill set. By loading her backside and driving her hips through the ball, Sarah will increase her consistently and all around power. Overall, Sarah has the determination to better herself and play at the next level.
04/06/2014 - College PREP - Scranton, PA Sarah is an evolving 3B with a balanced skill set. Defensively, she has an accurate arm with carry on her throws and aggressively attacks balls. Working on fluid footwork and staying down and through the ball will help to improve range and efficiency. Overall, Sarah has a confident approach to playing defense. As a hitter, she uses a square set up with a short stride and keeps her balance centered before aggressively producing hard contact. She shows great power and will benefit from implementing a stride and load, weight transfer and bat extension to improve power on contact, ultimately allowing her to access the entire field effectively. Overall, Sarah has a good frame for the position and solid athletic ability to help aid in her continued development as a player.
