12/18/2020 - Softball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Shelby is a coachable RHP/OF prospect who showed well during the Academic All-American Tournament. In the circle, Shelby works through a controlled delivery with a fluid arm, finishing tall. She shows a three pitch mix with her fastball topping out at 59mph. Changeup sits from 37-42mph with sharp movement. Screwball sits at 54mph with sharp movement. In the field, Shelby gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of her body. She gains ground well on her throws and keeps them accurate/strong through her target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a narrow stance and takes a soft stride. She is controlled getting into her load and hits against a strong front side. She works through a smooth swing with decent bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Overall, Shelby is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.
