Focus on a quick, accurate arm slot to increase throwing accuracy and release (slow transfer), a quick, athletic balanced pre-pitch catching position (sits high, blocks late, slow motion) and soft hands (stabs). As a hitter, she has a square set up, and stays on top of zone when making contact. Focus on a short, level bat path, a load and stride, a balanced set up (weight back), and drive the hands through the zone (drags bat). As Shelby continues to develop and mature through application and experience, her skill set will grow and keep her on track for collegiate attention.
