08/23/2015 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Sophie is a 2019 C with a developing skill set. Offensively, Sophie has an eye for the strike zone. She uses a square stance, some balance, and line drive power potential. She will see a significant increase in power production by incorporating additional load in her legs and consistency using a short/direct hand path to the ball. Behind the plate, Sophie gives maximum effort. She is confident, gets around the ball when receiving, and has good knowledge of blocking fundamentals. She will benefit from getting lower in her stance and keeping her weight on the inside of her feet. Overall, Sophie is a hard working player and with continued coaching reps and exposure she will have the opportunity to take her game to the next level.
