01/17/2020 - 2020 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Taysia’s hard work has earned her Softball Factory Pre-Season All American honors. Throughout the weekend Taysia had success on both sides of the ball. In the box, Taysia’s aggressive approach allowed her to be a consistent threat to pitches. She is a gap hitter that works all fields. At SS, Taysia is a gamer. She shows great range and is smooth in her approach. She reads the ball off the bat and dives to keep the ball in front. Overall, Taysia is an exciting player to watch and our staff looks forward to seeing her play at the collegiate level.
07/31/2019 - Softball Factory World Series - Prospects Taysia returns to another Softball Factory event displaying her strong skill set and impressing with her ability to adjust when needed. Defensively, she is athletic and quick in her footwork. She moves well through each play with solid momentum and is agile in her range. She is smooth in her footwork laterally and fields the ball out in front. She makes accurate throws to her target and keeps the ball in the infield. On the mound, she is calm and attacks hitters early. She needs to work on driving off of the mound more through her lower half so that she can produce maximum velocity behind her pitches. Offensively, she is square in her stance and loose in her hands. She has good rhythm in the box and keeps her barrel level through the zone. She makes hard contact in the gaps and shows good power.
05/26/2019 - College PREP - San Diego, CA Taysia is a 2022 right handed shortstop and pitcher with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has quick feet and range to both sides. She is athletic in her fielding position and quick in her exchange to her throws. She is aggressive and moves through each play with solid momentum. On the mound, she has a calm demeanor and extends through well on her release. She keeps an open hip direction and stays controlled in her mechanics. She has good balance and displays good command over her pitches. Offensively, she has an athletic set up in the box an a short stride to the ball. She loads back well in her lower half and stays center in her balance. Her hips and hands work well together through her swing and she makes hard contact consistently. Overall, Taysia is very coachable and will do what it takes to play at the next level.
