08/05/2018 - College PREP - Ashburn (DC), VA Tessa is a 2022 right handed catcher and outfielder with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, she has active feet and soft hands when receiving the ball. She has a quick transfer on her throws to bases and keeps the ball out in front on her blocks. She is short in her action to the ball on bunt coverage and is aggressive behind the plate. In the outfield, she takes good angles to the ball and positions herself well behind the ball to come through it with good momentum. She has accurate throws to her target and shows strength behind her throw. Offensively, she has a square and athletic set up in the box and makes consistent contact. She needs to focus on using her lower half more through her swing so that she can drive through the ball with as much power as possible to create better pop in her contact. Overall, Tessa has a great attitude and if she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
