06/23/2014 - Softball Factory World Series Tristan continues to refine her skill set as a SS and 3B. As an IF, she understands the complexities of both positions well. Her accuracy, strength, and athleticism are key components for her ability to make and implement adjustments. She fields with soft, sure hands, makes quick exchanges, approaches the ball with confidence and control, makes good angles and plays through balls well as her lateral range and fluid footwork make her a defensive competitor in the 5-6 positions. Continuing to finesse these mechanics will continue to create opportunities for fielding success and a force to reckon with defensively. As a hitter, she has a mature demeanor with a deep focus to be a controlled, consistent hitter. She has natural power and strength which allows for her to produce hard, line drive contact. Continuing to work on an explosive lower half and bat extension will generate more power on contact, allowing her to be a more effective hitter. Overall, Tristan is a solid competitor, a well rounded athlete, and a natural leader. She will be an asset to any program.
01/25/2014 - College PREP - Jackson, MS Tristan is an athletic, junior shortstop with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, Tristan has sure hands when receiving the ball and an accurate arm when throwing to the bags. She has fluid footwork and agile range when moving side to side. She takes good angles to the ball and will benefit from staying low and moving through the backhand. Offensively, Tristan uses a square setup and a short swing path to get to contact. Tristan does a good job of letting the ball get deep in the zone and using her lower half to consistently make hard contact. By working on staying through the ball to the opposite side of the field, Tristan will become more of an opposite field threat. Overall, Tristan has a lot of athletic ability and will continue to develop as a player
