12/27/2014 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Tyler is a 2015 1B/OF with a solid skill set. At the plate, Tyler has great box presence and good power gap to gap. She uses a square stance, displays an activated load, and centered balance. Tyler has good rhythm but has a tendency to be early at times. In the OF, Tyler is a great communicator with good foot speed and ready hands. In tournament play, she came through a ground ball well with a throw to 3B on target. Overall, Tyler is a talented player with skills that will transfer to the next level.
01/12/2014 - College PREP - Boca Raton, FL Tyler is an athletic player that continues to improve and get better every day. She primarily plays outfield, but she also plays first base. In the outfield, Tyler has soft hands and an accurate throw to the bags. She has playable footwork with agile range. Tyler takes good angles to the ball and gets behind it well. She will benefit from attacking ground balls quicker off the bat. At first base, Tyler has soft hands with an accurate throw across the diamond. She has fluid footwork when moving side to side and fields well on the run. Tyler has good stretches to the ball and will give 100% all of the time. Offensively, Tyler uses a slightly closed setup with centered balance to make a positive move to the ball. Tyler has a short swing and makes hard contact. She has good extension, and will benefit from staying inside the ball and incorporating the use of her legs more. Overall, Tyler is a hardworking player that will go the extra mile to get better everyday.
12/27/2013 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament Tyler is a solid, athletic junior outfielder with a well-balanced skill set and continues to improve. Defensively, Tyler has a quick and strong arm and makes accurate throws. She has an athletic and on time field position with efficient footwork. She has playable range and hustles everywhere. By working on her aggressiveness in the outfield, Tyler will improve her range. Offensively, Tyler uses a square setup with a smooth load and centered stride to make a positive move to the ball. She maintains center balance with a firm front half. Tyler has a level swing which helps her make hard and consistent contact. By working on her extension, Tyler will be able to increase her power to all sides of the field. Overall, Tyler has matured tremendously and has continued to develop into a well-rounded player.
06/24/2013 - Softball Factory World Series Tyler continues to develop as an athlete. Her willingness to learn and gain experience set a tone on the field. As a 1B, she understands the basics of the position and has a limited skill set. Continuing to focus on arm strength/slot, confident glovework, fluid footwork, and confidence will increase fielding success. As a C, she has soft, sure hands and keeps her head down when blocking. Continuing to focus on an athletic set up, position fundamentals, and blocking skills will increase fielding success. As a hitter, she is able to produce contact with her basic skill set. Continuing to focus on a stride and load, driving the hands through the hitting zone, and utilizing the lower half will increase power and consistency. Implementing a strength and conditioning program will increase speed, agility, power, body awareness, and coordination. As Tyler continues to develop and mature through application and experience, she will be on track for seeking collegiate attention.
01/13/2013 - College PREP - Boca Raton, FL Tyler is a developing athlete. As a 1B, she has an accurate arm and shows effort. Focus on a pre-pitch position to help with fielding out in front (fields deep), running to position (hops) and a playable fielding position (too low to ball). As a C, she gets around the bunt well, tries to gain momentum and field coverage, and uses two hands. Focus on a wider base, more aggressiveness, and timely blocking (blocks too soon). As a hitter, she has a short bat path, a square, balanced set up, an idea of a stride and load, power at times, and utilizes her lower half. Focus on a more consistent stride and load (to generate more power) and relaxing in the box (twitches). A strength and conditioning program is recommended to assist her in building athleticism and body awareness. As Tyler continues to develop and mature through application and experience, her skill set will grow and keep her on track for collegiate attention.
