11/18/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Softball Factory Fall Classic - 18U Tyler is a coachable 2B/1B prospect who worked hard on her skills during the Softball Factory Fall Classic. In the field, Tyler shows active footwork and is agile moving to the ball. She gets into position on time and fields with a firm glove. Her exchange is clean and she makes accurate throws to her target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and gets her hands activated in her load. She works through a smooth swing with fast bat speed, producing loud contact and gap to gap pop. Overall, Tyler is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.
01/17/2020 - 2020 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Tournament Tyler is a 2021 2B that has earned Softball Factory Pre-Season All American honors. Throughout the weekend, Tyler was a vocal leader on and off the field. She is very coachable and took in all the coaching tips from our staff. In the box, she has a patient approach. She hops on her pitch and shows line drive power. At 2B, Tyler is an athletic player. She reads the ball off the bat and is very smooth in her approach. She has a good field awareness and covers a lot of ground. She plays through the ball and makes accurate throws. Overall, Tyler has the work ethic and tools needed to play at the next level.
09/22/2019 - College PREP - Oxford, MS Tyler Hamby is a 2021 right handed second baseman. Defensively, Tyler has quick feet and is agile in her range. She fields from an athletic position and controls her movement through the ball. She works well to her glove side and has efficient footwork on double plays. Her transfer is fast and exchange is clean. She has an accurate arm and her arm action is fluid. Offensively, Tyler has an athletic setup and soft stride. She loads back into her lower half well and her pre-pitch rhythm is smooth. She is on-time with the ball and makes consistent contact with each pitch. She has the ability to hit line drives to all fields with power.
