11/06/2014 - Softball Factory Select Training at Vero Beach Tyler is a freshman second baseman / right-handed pitcher that is continuing to develop her skill set. Defensively, Tyler receives the ball with firm hands. She has quick footwork with playable range side to side. Tyler will benefit from becoming a more aggressive fielder. On the mound, Tyler uses a fastball /change up combination to attack each batter. By working to maintain quick arm speed when throwing her change up, Tyler will be able to sell her off speed. Offensively, Tyler uses an athletic and square setup in the box. By working to drive her hips through the ball, Tyler will generate more power from the ground up. Overall, Tyler is a young, coachable player that is continuing to develop her overall skill set.
07/25/2014 - College PREP - Severn (Baltimore), MD Tyler is a freshman second baseman with a developing skill set. Defensively, Tyler does a good job of keeping the ball in front. Tyler has playable arm strength and makes accurate throws to the bases. By working on her pre pitch setup and taking deeper angles to the ball, Tyler will be able to increase her overall range. Offensively, Tyler uses a square to open setup, backwards load, and long stride to make a positive move to the ball. She keeps her weight centered while driving through contact and could drive even more of her weight off of her backside. Tyler has pop off of her bat at times and does a good job finding a base hit. She works to drive all the way through contact and to get to the extension position. By shortening her swing and keeping her barrel on plane with the pitch longer, Tyler will become a more consistent hitter. Overall, Tyler is a young developing player that will continue to grow with training and experience.
