01/15/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Zoie returns to Softball Factory but this time with top honors as a Softball Factory Rookie Pre Season All American. Zoie continues to impress our staff with her athleticism and passion for the game. In the box, Zoie works from the left side. She is able to read the defense and slap, allowing her to show off her speed. She is also able to square up and hit for power. She is confident in the box and is consistently on base. In the OF, her athleticism shines. She reads the ball off the bat and takes great angles. Her speed allows her to take away gap shots and gives her pitcher a lot of confidence. Overall, Zoie is an exciting player to watch and we look forward to seeing her game at the next level.
12/27/2020 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Prospects Zoie continues to show as a prospect on the field. In the OF, defensive abilities are solid as she displays smooth / clean actions. She takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls but needs to work to get behind and plays through with momentum to her target. Range is a plus as she moves well laterally and covers ground. Throws are accurate with carry as she has a cannon of an arm. At the plate she continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (61 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach, spraying the ball to all fields. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. She can place the ball, slapping and gets down the line. At the event, she was 5 for 10 with 5 BB as she is discipline and has a good eye. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable and works hard to be the best player she can be.
10/25/2020 - All-In Membership - Nashville, TN Zoie is an athletic/talented LHH OF who can make things happen on the diamond. In the OF, she has active footwork and a quick first step taking solid routes covering a ton of ground. She maintains athletic actions, plays through the ball well and has a quick/clean exchange to throw. As a hitter, this lefty shows an open stance with centered balance and smooth rhythm to load. Quick hands whip the barrel through the zone with + speed. She connects with pop and drives the ball on a line back up the middle of the field. She has the ability to slap, getting out of the box and down the 1B line with speed. Only a 2025 grad - Bernard is a skilled OF prospect who has a very bright future ahead of her in the game.
