06/11/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Slidell, LA Alaiyah is a 2022 SS with a balanced skill set. In the box, Alaiyah is a RHH that uses a square stance with a short stride. She has a middle of the field approach and works to put the ball in play. When she stays connected through her swing she shows line drive power. Working to create a consistent stride and load will help her to be on time to contact. At SS, Alaiyah handles the routine play. She presents her glove on time, fields with sure hands and makes a clean exchange. She gets in line with her target and makes accurate throws. Alaiyah has good field awareness and provides good feeds on the double play. Working to be fluid to her backhand will allow her to make tough plays in the 5/6 hole. Overall, Alaiyah is a hard-working player and with continued coaching she will be able to take her game to the next level.
