02/17/2020 - College PREP - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Alana is a skilled R/R 2-way player (OF/SS) who graduates in 2022. In the OF, she takes a quick first step, takes good routes and is aggressive tracking down fly-balls hit to her right and left. She secures the ball with 2-hands and has a clean transfer to throw. At SS, she maintains active footwork and works into a square fielding position behind the GB. She tracks the ball into her mitt, gathers well and works in-line making accurate throws to 1B. As a hitter, Alana stands in with a square setup and gets back into a loaded/launch position. She likes the pitch on the inner 1/2 and pulls it with some pop. Working to create more extension through contact will help power to continue to increase. This 2-way prospect has a solid all-around skill-set that will make things happen in a variety of ways on the diamond.
