02/22/2014 - College PREP - Mt. Laurel, NJ Alana is a junior second baseman with a developing skill set. Defensively, Alana receives the ball with soft hands. She hustles to the ball and is willing to sacrifice her body when needed. Alana has active footwork and has above average range when moving from side to side. By working on her pre pitch positioning, Alana will be able to take quicker angles to the ball. Offensively, Alana uses a closed stance with a square stride to make a positive move to the ball. She does a good job of maintaining centered balance through contact. Alana is a line drive hitter that hits the ball hard to both sides of the field. She will benefit from staying inside the ball and getting to the extension position. Overall, Alana is a developing player that will continue to grow.
