12/01/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Highland Park (DFW), TX Alden is a C prospect who continues to showcase her skills on the field. Behind the plate, Alden presents a good target to the pitcher and tracks the ball into her glove. She throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps her throws accurate and on-line to the 2B bag. She gets around the ball well when blocking and keeps the ball in front of her. Sitting in a lower stance can help Alden improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes her stride on time. She is smooth getting into her load and takes a level swing, producing solid contact. Alden can improve as a hitter by driving her lower half more. Overall, Alden is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop her skills on the field.
07/31/2019 - Softball Factory World Series - Prospects Alden returns to another Softball Factory event displaying her developing skill set and impressing with her positive attitude. Behind the plate, she replaces her feet well on her blocks and works well with her pitching staff. She gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws to bases. She creates good backspin and pops out quickly on bunt coverage. Offensively, she is open in her stance and comfortable in the box. She has a firm front side through her swing and makes hard contact consistently. Overall, Alden has great energy and is engaged at all times.
05/05/2019 - College PREP - Dripping Springs (Austin), TX Alden is a 2021 right handed catcher with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has effective footwork and range around the ball. She gets over top with her body well on her blocks and has a solid prepunch catching position. She has a clean exchange on her throws to her target and makes accurate throws to bases. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and loads back well in her lower half. Her hips and hands work well together in her swing and she makes hard contact consistently. Overall, Alden hustles hard and has great work ethic.
