01/17/2020 - 2020 Softball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Alexis Wheeler is a 2024 right-handed outfield and utility player with a developed skill set. Alexis showcased her skills in a multitude of ways and has an off the charts work ethic. She hustled after every ball put in play and made in game adjustments quickly. She was able to work behind and through each ball put on the ground and in the air. Offensively, she has a square setup and small stride to the ball. She saw the pitch out of the hand well and stuck to her strike zone. She was consistent in keeping the defense on their toes and was a tough out.
10/20/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Oklahoma City, OK Alexis is a 2024 right handed outfielder with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has quick footwork and is agile in her range to the ball. She stays low and athletic through each play and comes through the ball with solid momentum. She has great arm strength in her throws to her target and displays accuracy in her release. She reads the ball well off of contact and takes great angles back on the ball. Offensively, she has an athletic stance in the box and a soft stride to the ball. She loads back well in her lower half and is explosive through the zone with her barrel. She makes hard contact and has the ability to spray the ball to all parts of the field. Overall, Alexis is very coachable and has a great attitude. She will do what it takes to play at the next level.
