01/28/2018 - College PREP - Phoenix, AZ Amara is a 2021 two player as a RHP/SS that hits from the left side. On the mound, Amara has a confident presence. She has good balance, a fluid arm action and extends through her release. She creates good leg drive and uses the correct stride with her pitches. She is able to control her change up, which allows her to keep hitters off balance. Working on her spins will allow her to see more movement on each pitch. At SS, Amara is an athletic player. She has active footwork, presents her glove on time and plays through the ball. Working to make a quicker transfer will allow her to record outs on close plays. In the box, Amara is a LHH that uses a square stance with a short stride and centered balance. She creates smooth rhythm with a back load and generates fast bat speed. She makes hard/consistent contact and shows gap power. When slapping she does a nice job of working the 5/6 hole and is able to deaden the ball on bunts. Overall, Amara is a versatile player with the tools needed to play at the next level.
