12/02/2016 - College PREP - Spring (Houston), TX Ashleigh is a 2018 two-way player as a OF/SS. In the box Ashleigh is a RHH that uses a square stance with average balance. She has an aggressive approach and ready to hop on her pitch. She is a line drive hitter that shows ability to work the gaps. Adding a consistent and smooth stride and load will allow Ashleigh to see an increase in her power production. In the OF Ashleigh is a smooth player with natural instincts. She reads the ball well off the bat and takes the proper angles. She works to play through the ball, gets in line with her target and makes accurate throws with carry. At times she has an INF approach to the ground ball and will benefit from using a crow hop. At SS Ashleigh is a vocal player that hustles every play. She shows good glove side range and does a nice job of playing through the ball. Working on quickening her double play feeds will allow her and her 2B to create more rhythm and timing for that play. Overall Ashleigh is an athletic player and with continued coaching and exposure she will have the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
