03/26/2017 - College PREP - San Francisco, CA Ashley is a 2019 outfielder, second baseman with a well-balanced skill set. Defensively, Ashley has fluid footwork and has good range in all directions. She has a good first step off the bat and displays proper footwork on her crow hop. Ashley takes good angles and reads the hop well. She has fluid arm action and makes accurate, on-line throws to her target. Ashley has a good pre pitch and has a smooth backhand at second base. Offensively, Ashley is athletic in her stance and takes an on-time stride to contact. She is smooth with her rhythm in the box and stays balanced throughout her swing. Ashley works together with her hips/hands and works well to the 5/6 hole. She is consistent with line drive power and works well to all parts of the field. Ashley squares the ball up nicely and takes a direct route to contact. She is able to hit and slap from the left side with consistency on both. Overall, Ashley is a coachable athlete that will continue to improve on what is needed to play at the next level.
