04/22/2018 - College PREP - Columbia, SC Aspen is a 2023 right handed outfielder and catcher with a developing skill set. In the outfield, she has active feet and a strong arm. She gets a good read right off of the bat and shows solid range to both sides. She positions herself well behind the ball to come through creating good momentum through her throws to her target. Behind the plate, she stays low and athletic in her fielding position. She has a clean exchange on her throws to bases and stays fluid in her action. She makes accurate throws to her target and pops out quick on bunts. Offensively, Aspen has a square set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and stays center in her balance. She gets good separation and drives through her legs creating solid pop in her contact. Overall, Aspen hustles hard and is very coachable.
