09/23/2012 - College PREP - Columbus, OH Brittany is a very athletic 2 way player with advanced skills on both sides of the ball. Behind the plate, Brittany has an athletic set up with a strong, wide base to go along with good hands that catch the ball clean and a quick, smooth exchange that produces strong accurate throws. She should consider lowering her target and continuing to work on staying on line and following her throws with her feet to improve carry and flight. As a SS, She plays low and aggressive, approaching groundballs under control with sure hands and the same smooth exchange before making a strong throw from multiple arm slots. She has quick active feet and takes great angles to balls to minimize time and steps needed to throw. Would like to see her continue to work on presenting her glove early and fielding far out front, left of center. At the plate, Brittany uses a square set up with a slight wrap, a short stride and her weight back before slapping the ball with quick bat speed and solid bat control. She gets uphill at times and should put more emphasis on her top hand to help keep her level through the zone, improving quality of contact and potential for some power production.
