06/02/2016 - College World Series Select Training Carolyn is a 2022 outfielder with a strong skill set. Defensively, Carolyn has good game knowledge and a quick first step of the ball. She has excellent body control and carries an athletic presence. She has on time glove work with soft sure hands. Carolyn has the proper footwork in the outfield and follows through with her momentum towards her target. She has on line accurate throws and gets to the ball quick at all angles. By working on getting behind the ball better on her glove side, Caolyn will become even more of an elite player defensively. Offensively, Carolyn is talented on both sides of the plate. She has a nice balanced set up and brings a good presence to the box. While hitting, Caroline takes a direct route to the ball and extends well through the zone. While slapping, she has controlled footwork and works up the middle of the field well. She is on plane to contact and rotates her core for good coordination. By working on turning harder on the inside half when slapping, Carolyn will be able to place the ball better and have more consistency and pop on the inside pitch. Overall, Carolyn is a young, talented athlete that is only going to continue to grow and play at a high level. She will definitely add depth defensively and offensively to any team she chooses to be apart of.
