11/17/2021 - 2021 Softball Factory Fall Classic - 16U Cassidy is a 2024 graduate who pitches and plays in the infield. She is very versatile and is a great baserunner. She has quick feet and hands. She has great pitch selection and power to pull side. Working on going with an outside pitch and not pulling front shoulder will help her effectiveness at the plate. On the mound, she has great command with her screw ball and drop curve. She has good late movement and is good at changing speeds and keeping hitters off balance. Improving her rise ball and more leg strength will help increase speed and help Cassidy reach the next level. Overall, she has the ability to compete at the next level.
03/06/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Lynwood (Chicago), IL Cassidy is a Softball Factory veteran that continues to work hard and improve her skill set. On the mound, Cassidy has a strong 5 pitch arsenal. Her fastball works in the low 60’s and she does a nice job of mixing locations in the zone. Her screw, rise and drop all work in the high 50’s and she is able to create strong spin on each. She is confident in the circle and is able to mix pitches well to keep hitters off balance and create ground ball outs. At SS, Cassidy is an athletic player with good range. She has a good approach to ball, presents her glove on time and makes a clean transfer. She gains ground to her target and makes accurate throws with carry. She makes strong double play feeds and is smooth with her own coverage of the bag. In the box, Cassidy uses a tall, open stance with a short stride and centered balance. She has a middle of the field approach and is able to work the gaps. Overall, Cassidy is a strong player that will have success at the collegiate level.
12/27/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Windsor (Madison), WI Cassidy is an athletic RHP/2B who has a promising future on the field. At 2B, defensive abilities are well above average as she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she works around balls and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Feet are quick as she moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line carry (61 mph velocity) across the diamond but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, she continue to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (62 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She shows a feel for the barrel stays inside the ball with gap to gap pop. On the mound, she shows a repeatable delivery, allowing her arm action to work loose to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 58-59 mph. Rise ball sits 55-58 mph. Curve ball sits 56-57 mph. Knuckleball sits 44-46 mph with sink. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is outstanding as she throws strikes with all her pitches. With 4 years to further develop, Cassidy has a lot of potential and will get looks from the college coaches as she continues to progress her game.
06/25/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Watertown, WI Cassidy is a 2024 right handed pitcher and shortstop with a developing skill set. At shortstop, she has effective footwork and range to both sides. She stays square in her fielding position and has a clean exchange on her throws to her target. She is short in her action to the ball and creates solid momentum through each play. In the circle, she has a confident mound presence and extends through well on her release. She has an open hip direction and is controlled through her finish. She has good balance and tight spin on her pitches. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and an on time stride to the ball. She loads back well in her lower half and stays center in her balance. She makes hard contact consistently and gets through extension well in her swing. Overall, Cassidy has great work ethic and will do what it takes to play at the next level.
