12/18/2020 - Softball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Ceara is a 2B prospect who showed well during the Academic All-American Tournament. In the field, Ceara shows efficient footwork with a quick first step. She gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of her body. She has a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, making strong/accurate throws through her target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. She is fluid to load and remains centered in her lower half. She works through a smooth swing with explosive bat speed, leading to great gap to gap power. Overall, Ceara is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon her skills on the field.
11/18/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Softball Factory Fall Classic - 16U Ceara continues to shine on the field and has a promising future. At the plate, she shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (65 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She has strength in his swing and stays inside the ball with gap-to-gap pop. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid as she displays smooth / easy actions. Feet are active as she attacks ball and plays through with her body. Glove action is clean and she presents well out front. Throws are accurate with on line carry (51 mph velocity) to her target but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Range is a plus as she moves well laterally and covers ground. She showed the ability to play multiple positions and played them well. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable, plays with a lot of energy, and works hard to be the best player she can be. With 3 years to further develop, Ceara has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with her abilities.
08/25/2019 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Ceara returns to another Softball Factory event displaying her strong skill set and impressing with her great hustle. At second base, she has fluid footwork and range to both sides. She moves well laterally and works low to high through ground balls. She has soft hands receiving the ball and stays short in her action. She makes accurate throws to her target and has solid momentum through each play. Offensively, she has an athletic set up in the box and a soft stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and is explosive through the zone with her barrel. Overall, she continues to work hard and keep a great attitude.
08/26/2018 - National Tryout Plus - Trenton, NJ Ceara is a coachable athlete with great hustle and work ethic. Defensively, Ceara has great footwork and stays low in her fielding position. She has vocal leadership and will dive for a ball out of reach. Ceara has a quick exchange with quick arm action. She has firm glove work and makes strong, on-line throws to her targets. Ceara also charges quickly on bunts and stays low to make an efficient play. Offensively, Ceara has an athletic stance and takes a short stride to contact. She loads and displays smooth, fluid timing. Ceara hits with a firm front side and makes hard contact. She displays line-drive power throughout each part of the field. Overall, Ceara has great character and immense passion for the game.
05/31/2018 - Softball Factory College World Series Select Training (Grad Year 2023-2025) Ceara is a 2023 right handed second baseman with a developing skill set. Defensively, she has effective footwork and soft hands when fielding the ball. She adjusts well between each pitch and is aggressive laterally to keep the ball in front of her. She needs to focus on playing more on the balls of her feet rather than sitting on her heels so that she can move more fluid and quickly to the ball. Offensively, she has an open set up I'm the box and a soft stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and is direct to the ball. She has a strong base in the box and shows power behind her contact. Overall, Ceara hustles hard and if she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
12/29/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA Ceara is a 2023 right handed second baseman and catcher with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, Ceara has a low and athletic catching position. She has firm hands when receiving the ball and sticks the ball in the zone really well. She uses her body well on blocks and recovery and creates a clean exchange on her throws to her target. By focusing on creating quicker movements laterally she will start to keep the balls to her sides in front of her more consistently and get around the ball better to allow herself to get around the balls in the dirt. At second base, Ceara stays square in her fielding position and stays low towards the ball. She creates accurate throws to her target and a clean exchange. By focusing on shortening her release she will start to have more quickness in her release getting the ball to her target faster. Offensively, Ceara has an athletic set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She is fluid in her rhythm and has explosive bat speed. She displays gap to gap power and keeps a firm front side in her swing. Ceara makes consistent hard contact and has the ability to really drive the ball. Overall, she adjusts well and hustles hard. If she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to get her game to the next level.
