06/18/2018 - Softball Factory World Series (Grad Year 2023-2025) Charles is a 2024 right handed pitcher with a developing skill set. On the mound, she has a calm presence and keeps an open hip direction. She has a solid curve ball with good movement. She shows correct rise ball spin and stays controlled through her mechanics. She has good balance on the mound but could improve her leg drive a little bit more. If she works on using her lower half to push off the mound more she will start to see her velocity rise in her pitches. Offensively, she has an open set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She stays fluid in her rhythm and center in her balance. She makes adjustments well in between pitches and squares up the ball. Overall, she has a great attitude and if she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
