12/29/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Swarthmore (Philadelphia), PA Claire is a 2023 right handed catcher and first baseman with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, Claire has soft hands when receiving the ball. She has a clean exchange to her target and communicates well on the field. She sticks the ball well in her frames and uses body well on her blocks. In the infield, Claire has active footwork and makes routine plays. By focusing on staying low through her fielding position and not coming up, she will start to create more range at her position stopping balls from getting through the infield. Offensively, Claire has a short stride in the box and makes solid contact at times. By focusing on shortening her barrel to the ball and her timing in her swing she will start to become more consistent in her contact and create more power behind her contact as well. Overall, Claire has a great attitude and adjusts well. If she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to take her game to the next level.
