11/09/2014 - College PREP - Fresno, CA Elena is 2018 RHP with a developing skill set. On the mound she works hard and is not afraid to attack batters with a mix of pitches. Elena has a good delivery and is ready to field her position. Working on having fluid arm action will allow her to conceal her pitches and focus on her spins and snaps. Elena's fastball works in the mid to low 50's and her change up drops to the low 40's. Using her lower half more will allow her to see more velocity on her pitches. In the box, Elena has a square set up with good balance. She does a nice job of squaring up on contact and produces line drives. Working on being aggressive in her pitch count will allow her to seize more opportunities to put the ball in play. Over all, Elena has a great passion for the game and will continued to improve with the right coaching.
