01/18/2019 - Softball Factory Prospects Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Ella is a 2022 third baseman and first baseman with a strong skill set. Defensively, she plays the corners well and keeps an athletic fielding position. She is smooth in her footwork and moves well laterally for the ball. She stays low through each play and gives great effort every time she steps on the field. She makes accurate throws to her target and is quick in her release. Offensively, she has an athletic set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She stays level through the zone and marked hard contact to all sides of the field. Overall, Ella brings great energy and engaged at all times.
12/02/2018 - College PREP - Conroe (Houston), TX Ella Rose is a 2022 two-way player as a 1B/OF with a balanced skill set. In the box, Ella Rose is a RHH that uses a square stance with a short stride, back load and centered balance. She makes consistent contact and is a spray hitter that shows line drive power. Working to stay inside the ball more and extending through contact will allow her to see an increase in her power production. At 3B, Ella Rose is a vocal player. She is willing to get dirty to keep the ball in the INF and communicates well with her teammates. Presenting her glove sooner and making a smooth transfer will allow her to get rid of the ball quickly. In the OF, Ella Rose handles the routine play well. She reads the ball off the bat and hustles every play. She gets in line with her target and makes accurate throws. Working to play through the ball more will allow her to generate momentum to her target. Overall, Ella Rose is a hard working player that will continue to improve with good coaching and reps.
