02/15/2020 - Softball Factory Mid-Atlantic Offensive Skills Weekend - Columbia, MD Ella is a tall 2B prospect who continued to work on her offensive skills at the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance with her hands held low. She takes a short stride and generates good bat speed through the zone, spraying the ball to all fields. Working a smoother rhythm into her load can help Ella improve as a hitter. Overall, Ella is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop her skills on the field.
11/02/2019 - Softball Prospects Regional Hitting Weekend Ella is a coachable 2B prospect who worked hard on her skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. She gets her hands activated in a small load and drives through well with her lower half. She takes a level swing with good bat speed, leading to solid contact. Getting more extension through the ball can help Ella improve as a hitter. Overall, Ella is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop her skills on the field.
09/08/2019 - College PREP - Ellicott City (Baltimore), MD Ella continues to impress with her hustle and her work ethic. She is a coachable athlete that is consistently growing and trying to better her craft. At second base, she has active feet and stays square to the ball. She is short in her action and displays strength in her release to her target. Offensively, she has a square set up in the box and a soft stride to the ball. She loads back well and activates her lower half in her swing to produce solid contact. She sees the ball well to her barrel and makes consistent contact. Overall, Ella has a great attitude and will continue to improve with her great work ethic.
04/20/2018 - College PREP - Potomac, MD Ella is a 2021 OF with natural pop in the box. Ella is a RHH that uses a square stance with a short stride and centered balance. She has an aggressive approach and is able to make game time adjustments. Working to extend through contact and finish her swing will allow her to see consistency in her power production. In the OF, Ella is an athletic player. She tracks the ball well and takes a good first step. She makes a fluid exchange and does a nice job of getting in line with her target. Working to play through the ball will allow her to gain momentum to her target. Overall, Ella is a young player and with continued coaching she will be able to further develop her skill set.
01/12/2018 - Softball Factory Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Ella is a 2021 right handed second baseman with a developing skill set. Defensively, she stops the ball from getting in the outfield and displays great effort each play. She has a clean exchange on her throws and has accurate throws to her target. Her arm slot is over the top and she comes through the ball to gain momentum for a stronger throw. By focusing on staying lower in her legs she will start to gain more ground laterally and create more range at second base. Offensively, she stays tall in her set up and center in her balance. She sees the pitches well and makes good adjustments each pitch. She Is fluid in her action but needs to keep her hands inside of the ball more consistently in order to get more power behind her contact. Overall, Ella has a great attitude and is very coachable. If she continues to work hard and make adjustments she will do what it takes to get her game to the next level.
