01/07/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Dayton, OH Ellie is a 2023 SS with an athletic skill set. In the box, Ellie is a RHH that uses a square stance with centered balance and short stride. She loads her hands back and takes a direct path to the ball. She makes square contact and generates line drive power. Letting the ball travel deeper into the hitting zone will allow her to hit to all fields. At SS, Ellie uses efficient footwork and is fluid to her glove side. She presents her glove on time, makes a clean exchange and makes accurate throws with carry. Working on her double play footwork will allow her to provide good double play feeds. Overall, Ellie is an athletic player with an exciting skill set.
