08/01/2018 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Emily is a 2021 catcher and first baseman with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, she keeps her throws on line to bases and shows strength behind her throw. She stays low in her catching position but needs to work on getting her body over top of the ball on her blocks to keep more balls in front. At first base, she has active feet and stays low through the ball. She has a quick exchange on her throws to her target and is quick in her action to the ball. She has good footwork and keeps her head on the ball. Offensively, she has a square set up in the box and a soft stride to the ball. She is aggressive every pitch and makes consistent contact to her pull side. Overall, Emily has a great attitude and will do what it takes to play at the next level.
