03/25/2018 - College PREP - Greensboro, NC Emily is a 2022 catcher with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, Emily has agile range and a low setup. She presents her glove well and makes accurate throws to her target. She is vocal and gets her thumb under the low pitches. Emily absorbs well on her blocking and keeps the ball in front. Offensively, Emily is square in her stance and takes a short stride to contact. She loads well and swings hard. Emily works together with her hips/hands and has explosive bat speed to contact. She makes hard, consistent contact and works well up the middle. Overall, Emily has a strong presence behind the plate and will continue to get better.
