01/12/2024 - Softball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Emma is a 2024 grad who catches. She is a natural leader on the field and is very engaged and positive. Behind the dish, Emma has a great throw down, quick exchange and solid blocking and receiving mechanics. She has a good eye for the strike zone and a strong box presence. Her smooth swing and good barrel control help Emma hit the ball to both sides of the field. Overall, Emma has a strong skill set and the ability to take her game to the next level.
12/27/2023 - Softball Factory Christmas Select Training Emma is a 2024 grad who catches. She is active and loud behind the dish. Emma receives and blocks well with a 2.02 second pop time. In the box, she has good barrel control, swings explosively, and has fast bat speed producing a 70MPH exit velocity. Overall, Emma is a strong athlete with the skill set and ability to take her game to the next level.
12/16/2022 - Softball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Emma is a solid catcher with a 2.03-second pop time. She is quick and has clean mechanics behind the plate, blocking balls and getting the ball to the center of her body. Emma gets her barrel to the ball producing a 64MPH exit velocity. She is a hard worker and is willing to do what it takes to continue perfecting her skills on the field.
12/17/2021 - Softball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Emma is a 2024 graduate who catches. She is vocal behind the plate and is athletic. She is a great teammate and is ready to learn. Emma is very receptive to criticism. In the box, Emma is strong and gets to extension. Improving her lower half and weight transfer when swinging as well as a quicker transfer will help Emma take her game to the next level. Overall, Emma is a very respectful "yes coach" athlete who has the skill set and tools to continue improving her game.
09/03/2021 - Softball Factory All-Region Tournament Emma is a 2024 graduate who catches. She has an athletic build and great throw downs with a pop time of 2.32 seconds. She has solid framing and blocking fundamentals. In the box, Emma has quick hands. Improving her throwing accuracy behind the plate and more lower half when swinging will help Emma take her game to the next level. Overall, she has the skills to continue improving her game on the field.
01/24/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Jose, CA Emma continues to show improvements in her softball abilities and has a bright future on the field. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow her to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Pop times have improved as she threw her lowest time to date at 2.25 with accuracy on her throws. Times will continue to drop as she builds more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as she displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as she takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. She works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to her target. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Range will increase as she improves foot quickness. At the plate she continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (62 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.
12/27/2020 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament - Prospects Emma continues to show as a prospect on the field with improvements in her softball abilities. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. She uses her body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times have improved as she threw her lowest time to date at 2.43 with accuracy to her target. Times will continue to drop as she builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, she shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work to and through a level swing path. She shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach, utilizing the middle of the field well. At the event, she was 7 for 13 with a 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable and works hard to be the best player she can be.
12/18/2020 - Softball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Emma continues to shine on the field. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. She uses her body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get down sooner and improve her lateral movements. Pop times showed in the range of 2.56 with accuracy on her throws. Time will continues to drop as she builds more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF, she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as she takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. She works to get behind and plays through with momentum to her target. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. At the plate, she continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (59 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. At the event, she was 5 for 13. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable and works hard to be the best player she can be.
11/09/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Fremont (San Jose), CA Emma is a right handed outfielder and catcher with a strong skill set. Defensively, she has effective footwork in the outfield and moves well in the gaps. She takes good angles back on the ball and positions herself well behind the ball to come through each play with solid momentum. She gains ground well and makes strong throws to her cut off. Behind the plate, she is effective in her footwork and frames each pitch well in the zone. She is solid in her base and gets over top well on her blocks. She keeps a low target and is smooth in her transfer on her throws to bases. Offensively, she is athletic in her stance and soft in her stride. She keeps her barrel level through the zone and activates her lower half well through her swing. She is center in her balance and makes hard contact consistently. Overall, Emma adjusts well when needed and has great work ethic. If she continues to work hard, she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
