03/10/2024 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bronx, NY Eva is a 2025 grad who catches with a 1.72-second pop time. She has quick hands and footwork. A clean exchange and on line throws to her target with an impressive 67MPH overhand velocity. She tracks low to high and has soft hands when receiving. In the box, Eva swings with intent with an on-plane barrel and quick hands to contact. She hits the ball hard with a 69 MPH exit velocity. Eva continues to show strides of reaching her full potential. Overall, she has a solid skill set and the ability to elevate her game to the next level.
01/13/2023 - Softball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Eva is a 2025 graduate who catches. She has a pop time of 1.84 seconds. She has an athletic setup and quick exchange. Eva has great mechanics overall. She works the count and has great pitch selection in the box. She has power and great extension in her swing. She continues to show strides of reaching her full potential. Overall, Eva has a solid set of skills on the diamond.
12/17/2021 - Softball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Eva is a 2025 graduate who catches. She is very good at framing and has a low pop time of 2.12 seconds. She is coachable and wants to learn. In the box, Eva is a contact hitter. Improving her lower half and extension will improve her contact in the box. Continuing to work on being vocal behind the dish and knowing game situations will help Eva take her game to the next level. Overall, she has the potential to continue improving her game on the diamond.
09/03/2021 - Softball Factory All-Region Tournament Eva is a 2025 prospect out of Yorktown Heights, NY who catches. Behind the dish, she presents her glove and tracks the ball well. She keeps her chin down when blocking. In the box, Eva has a strong barrel and gets the bat behind the ball every swing. Improving her throwing accuracy to bases as well as staying low when throwing will help Eva take her game to the next level. Overall, she has the skill set and tools to continue improving her game.
01/03/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Milton, NY Evangeline is an athletic C/3B who has a promising future on the field. At the plate is where she shows best, displaying solid hitting/power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (63 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. At 3B, she displays smooth/fluid actions. Feet are active as she works around balls and plays through with her body. Range will increase as she improves foot quickness. Glove action is soft/clean and presents well out front. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow her to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Pop times show in the 2.35 range with accuracy on her throws. Times will continue to drop as she builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 5 years to further develop, Evangeline has the makings of a special type player with time and room to progress her game.
