03/17/2024 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Potomac, MD Faith continues to show as an elite talent and very projectable as a college prospect. She is advanced as a defender, showing a comfort and feel at both catcher and 1B. She is a smooth receiver and covers holes when blocking. Athletic behind the plate and quick throws to second. At 1B, she moves very well and shows soft hands and a quick release with accurate throws. Good double play footwork. The bat continues to be a standout tool for Faith, both with mechanics and power as she can use the whole field while showing consistent barrel accuracy with power all over the field. Faith is one of the top home run hitters in the state, hitting 7 HR during her varsity season as a sophomore and leading Sherwood High School to a Maryland state championship. She is a legitimate prospect.
08/13/2023 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bowie, MD Faith has always shown versatility and consistency for us, and her recent workout continued that trend. Her bat continues to be a major strength both with mechanics and power. She has quick hands, stays short, and utilizes her lower half to help give her gap to gap power. Faith has a natural feel for catching, as she is a very soft receiver and is quick to block. She posted a sub 2 second pop time again for us, as she shows a qiuck release and a strong arm on her throw downs. She also moves well at 1B and has soft hands and a quick release. Faith is versatile enough to play either catcher or 1B at the next level, and her well above average hitting abilities will bring an added bonus, especially as a catcher, to any lineup.
04/10/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD This is the third time we have seen Faith and she continues to show improvement each time we see her. Still only an 8th grader, she is an advanced player for her age, and showed well as both a catcher and 1B, as well as with the bat. Behind the plate, Faith is a high-energy player with advanced receiving skills, a quick exchange/release and is solid on balls in the dirt. She also has good actions at 1B and is quick and sure defensively. She projects as being more than capable of playing either position at the next level. With the bat, Faith has quick hands and has an aggressive RH swing with some bat speed. She has a good set up, good timing, hard contact, and consistent barrel accuracy. Previously a pitcher, she has now settled into her role as a catcher/1B with power potential at the plate. She should be an impactful player when she enters high school later this year and with continued hard work, Faith will likely make a great addition to a college program when the time comes.
06/21/2021 - Official Player Development Membership - Frederick, MD This is the second time we have seen Faith. She has proven to be a versatile player, having worked out for us behind the plate, as an infielder, and as a pitcher. Behind the plate, she tracks and frames the ball well, showing a best pop time of 2.30 down to second. At 3B, Faith stays low through the ball and feeds double plays well. In the box, she hits the ball where it is pitched and keeps her hands inside. She shows considerable bat speed for her age (65 mph exit velocity) and has an overall good swing. Only a 2026 grad (rising 8th grader), Faith is an advanced player for her age and should continue to improve with hard work as she gets older.
08/10/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - Frederick, MD Faith is a young 1B/RHP who has a promising future on the field. At 1B, she displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is soft / clean and presents well out front. Feet are aggressive and attacks balls, playing through with her body. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, she shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (60 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. She makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, she shows a repeatable delivery, allowing her arm action to work loose to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 45-46 mph. Changeup sits 40-41 mph. Faith is a good player, and has plenty of time to progress her game as she gets older.
