06/01/2017 - Softball Factory College World Series Select Training Gracey is a 2022 right-handed pitcher with a developing skill set. In the circle, Gracey has a very fluid body motion in her wind up and holds a calm and confident mound presence. She has controlled mechanics and and athletic balance. She extends thru on her release and keeps an open hip direction. She has great control on her changeup and keeps her changeup low in the zone. She displays great change of speed with her change up. She displays a good curve but by working on creating more of a snap behind the ball she will start to notice more movement on this particular pitch. She creates a quick motion and tight snap on her fastball. She also shows a good top ball with correct spin and good control. At times Gracey shortens her arm in her motion on her drop ball and if she becomes more consistent on making sure she keeps that arm extended each time she throws the drop she will see more consistency with that pitch and the speed go up. Gracey has great potential to pitch at the collegiate level. Offensively, Gracey is square in her stance and swings hard to the ball. She has a strong base and stays center in her balance. She shows spray potential to all sides of the field and makes consistent contact. She stays short to the ball and keeps a direct swing path thru the zone. Overall, Gracey is a great athlete and will work hard on what is needed to take her game to the next level.
