03/09/2014 - College PREP - Baltimore, MD Hailey is a sophomore first baseman / right-handed pitcher that can also contribute offensively. Defensively, Hailey receives the ball with soft and sure hands. She has active footwork and moves well from side to side. Hailey has an accurate arm when throwing across the diamond. By playing through the ball, Hailey will be able to cut down on the bad hops, and add more momentum behind her throw. On the mound, Hailey uses an athletic stance and a full arm swing to deliver the ball. She uses a drop ball, change up combination to attack each batter. Hailey will benefit from driving off of her back leg more. Offensively, Hailey uses an open stance with a downward load to make a positive move to the ball. She does a good job of controlling her weight distribution and maintaining centered balance. By keeping her hands at the top of the strike zone, Hailey will become a more line drive hitter. Overall, Hailey is a hardworking athlete that will continue to develop as a player.
