02/16/2020 - College PREP - Lake Zurich (Chicago), IL Haley is a very talented/projectable 2-way player (SS/RHP) who can make things happen on the diamond in a variety of ways. With the bat, this RHH displays a square/athletic setup with centered balance and fluid rhythm. Quick hands whip the barrel to and through the zone as she connects with pop and drives the ball on a line. At SS, she has quick/active footwork and moves well into a square/athletic fielding position behind the GB. She has plus lateral actions and can make the tough plays to her right and left. On the mound, she has a 4-pitch arsenal to keep hitters guessing. Mechanics are sound and she repeats her delivery well. FB has good/late movement topping out at 58. Changeup has some drop and compliments FB well. Cutter has sharp break and will be a solid out pitch. She is around the zone with all of her pitches throwing strikes. Barnes is a skilled athlete who has what it takes the play at the next level.
