12/27/2018 - Softball Factory Christmas Camp (Grad Years 2024-2026) Haylee Whittemore is an athletic catcher and short stop with a well balanced skill set. As a catcher, she sets up athletic and relaxed. She tracks the pitch well and has a strong frame. She is quick and effective with her footwork for blocks and tucks her chin well. Haylee has a quick and clean exchange to make the throw to second base. She has a strong arm and gets rid of the ball effectively with her quick arm action. As a short stop, she is athletic and stays on the balls of her feet. She takes good angels to the ground ball and fields well out in front of her body. Her throws are consistently accurate to her target and she creates good backspin on the ball. She is always hustling. At the plate, Haylee stays relaxed with good rhythm and uses a controlled stride. Her lower half explodes through the swing and she gets good extension after contact. She has very good barrel control. Overall, Haylee is a power hitter and a run producer.
