11/18/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Softball Factory Fall Classic - 16U Jaedin is an athletic RHP/1B who has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, she shows a repeatable delivery, allowing her arm action to work loose to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 55-61 mph. Curveball sits 56-58 mph. Screw ball sits 56-68 mph. Drop ball sits 56-58 mph. She can improve driving her lower half more. At 1B, she displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as she attacks ball and works around to play through with her body. Glove action is clean and she presents well out front. Range will increase as she improves foot quickness. At the plate, she shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. She makes consistent contact through a line drive approach utilizing the middle of the field well. At the event, she was 5 for 8 with 3 2B. Mental makeup is a plus as she is very coachable, plays with a lot of energy, and works hard to be the best player she can be. With 3 years to further develop, Jaedin has potential with time and room to progress her game.
02/16/2020 - College PREP - Lake Zurich (Chicago), IL Jaedin Blankenship is a 2023 RHP with a strong skill set. Offensively, she has a tall setup and square stride to the ball. She loads well in her pre-pitch approach and has smooth timing into the ball. She has a fast barrel through the zone and makes hard contact consistently to hit for power. In the circle, Jaedin has a confident presence and controlled mechanics. She extends through on her release, keeps an open hip direction and a fluid arm action. She attacks the zone, can throw multiple speeds and hits spots on both sides of the plate.
