07/31/2019 - Softball Factory World Series - Prospects Jara returns to another Softball Factory event displaying her strong skill set and positive energy that she brings to the field. Behind the plate, she is athletic in her catching position and receives the ball with quiet hands. She works well with her pitchers but needs to work on replacing her feet more on her blocks. She can get too high with her chest at times and if she works on smothering the ball more with her whole body, she will keep everything in front. In the outfield, she is light on her feet and takes good angles in the gaps. Offensively, she has an open stance and a square stride to the ball. She is on time in her rhythm and creates good contact in the gaps. Overall, Jara has great body language and is engaged at all times.
04/14/2019 - College PREP - Highland Park (DFW), TX Jara is a 2022 right handed catcher and outfielder with a developing skill set. Behind the plate, she frames the ball well in the strike zone and gets over top of the ball with her body on blocks. She is athletic in her catching position and pops out quickly on bunt coverage. In the outfield, she has quick feet and range to both sides. She reads the ball well off of contact and tracks the ball well in the gaps. She is fluid in her action to the ball and makes accurate throws to her target. Offensively, she has a tall set up in the box and loads back well in her lower half. She has fast hands through the zone and makes hard contact to her pull side. Overall, Jara adjusts well and is very coachable.
