06/19/2017 - Softball Factory World Series Jaylah returns to Softball Factory to show she is ready to work hard to take her game to the next level. During game play Jaylah made hard consistent contact and forced the defense to make a play. She is an athletic player that is able to make game time adjustments. Defensively she is a vocal leader. She handles the routine play well and makes accurate throws with carry. Working to present her glove sooner will allow her to play through the ball more. Overall Jaylah is a coachable player and with continued hard work she will have the opportunity to take her game to the next level.
04/29/2017 - College PREP - Columbia, SC Jaylah is 2018 shortstop with a strong skill set. Defensivley, Jaylah has quick, active footwork and has good range in all directions. She is athletic, low in her fielding position and presents her glove well out in front. Jaylah is fluid with her movement and has a clean exchange to throw, She works well with her momentum and makes accurate, on-line throws to her target. Offensively, Jaylah is square in her stance and takes a short stride to contact. She stays balanced throughout her swing and has fast bat speed to contact. Jaylah makes hard contact and displays homerun power to the pull side. She is a strong kid that square up the ball nicely on a consistent basis. By working on her extension and engaging more of her lower half, Jaylah will become even more of a powerful hitter. Overall, Jaylah is a great athlete in all areas that will continue to improve on what is needed to play at the next level.
