11/18/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Softball Factory Fall Classic - 16U Jillian is an athletic catcher who shined during her time at the Softball Factory Fall Classic. She plays the game the right way and leaves it all on the field. Behind the dish, she presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. She uses her body well through the blocking process, centering balls well out front. Pop times showed a range of 1.88 with accuracy and carry (60 mph velocity) on her throws. At the plate, she continues to shine, through a squared setup. Hands are quick (65 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a level swing path. She shows a feel for the barrel and stays inside the ball with gap-to-gap pop. She is a great team player, encouraging everyone and always has a positive attitude. She is very vocal and a leader on the field. With 3 years to further develop, Jillian has the makings of a special type player and will get looks from collegiate coaches as she continues to progress her game.
