04/22/2018 - College PREP - Columbia, SC Joy is a 2023 right handed catcher with a developing skill set. Defensively, she has range to both sides and stays low in her fielding position. She has soft hands when receiving the ball and accurate feeds to her target. She keeps the ball in front and has good momentum through each play. Offensively, Joy has an on time load and keeps her head on the ball to contact. By focusing on keeping her hands on the inside of the ball and not going out and around she will start to consistently square up the ball. Overall, she has a great attitude and if she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
