03/25/2018 - College PREP - Middletown (Hartford), CT Julia returns to Softball Factory for her 5th event. Julia is a dedicated player and works hard every time she steps on the field. Behind the plate, Julia is a strong player that is able to control the game. She receives with soft, sure hands and frames the zone well. She reads balls in the dirt well and is quick to block. At 3B, Julia is an athletic player with a strong skill set. She reads the ball off the bat and has a quick first step. She makes a quick exchange, has a fluid arm action and makes accurate throws with carry. In the box, Julia is a RHH that uses a square stance with on-time rhythm and centered balance. She generates fast bat speed and hits to all fields with power. Engaging her lower half more will allow her to see continued power production. Overall, Julia will be a great addition to a collegiate line up.
06/01/2017 - Softball Factory College World Series Select Training Julia is a 2019 right handed catcher with a strong skill set. Defensively, Julia is athletic in her field position. She frames the ball well and gets around the ball well behind the plate. She has soft hands and sticks pitches really well. She has a confident presence behind the plate and displays a strong arm. She keeps her momentum going towards her target on her throws. Julia makes good adjustments and displays herself to be agile in her range and covers a lot of ground behind the plate. She has a great attitude and shows leadership on the field. Offensively, Julia stays tall in her stance in the box. She loads back in her legs but by creating more leg drive she will start to see more power behind her hits. She has a direct swing path the the ball and stays center in her balance. She displays a short stride to the ball and stays fluid through her swing. She is consistent on squaring up the ball and staying smooth through the zone. Julia adjusts very well in the box and always swings hard to the ball. Overall, Julia is a great athlete with tons of potential that will be a great asset to any collegiate program.
12/11/2016 - College PREP - Nyack (NYC), NY Julia is a 2019 two-way player as a C/3B. In the box Julia is a RHH that uses a square stance with good balance. She works to take a direct route to contact and does a nice job rotating her core to contact. She is a line drive hitter that shows gap-to-gap power potential. Creating a load in her swing will allow her to create on time rhythm in her swing and engage her lower half more. Behind the plate Julia has a good presence. She has a strong arm and shows a 1.95s pop time. Presenting her glove sooner with sure hands will allow her to frame the zone with confidence and get to a proper arm slot. At 3B Julia is a sure handed defender that handles the routine play well. She has efficient footwork and shows lateral range. She uses the proper arm slot and makes accurate throws with carry. Fielding the ball out in front will allow her to play thru the ball more and gain ground to her target. Overall Julia is a hard working player with the tools needed to play at the collegiate level.
11/10/2016 - Softball Factory Select Training & Competition at Historic Dodgertown Julia returns to Softball Factory to show she is ready to take her game to the next level. Since her last event Julia shows improvements to all areas of her game. Offensively Julia does a nice job of working the count to her favor. She shows good discipline and will take a walk to help her team gain baserunners. She is able to make game time adjustments and is a spray hitter. Working to take a direct path to the ball will allow Julia to see more line drive production through the INF. Defensively Julia is a vocal player that is willing to take charge in games. She hops on opportunities to catch baserunners off guard; throwing runners out at 3B during game play. The adjustments made to her blocking was proof of her dedication to the game. Overall Julia is a coachable player and with the proper coaching and exposure she will have the opportunity to take her game to the collegiate level.
08/07/2016 - College PREP - Albany, NY Julia is a 2019 C/3B with a solid skill set. At the plate she is a consistent contact hitter who takes an aggressive cut. She takes a very direct route to the ball with a square stride. Continuing to work on using her lower half more will give her more pop at the plate. At 3B she is a sure handed fielder who keeps her hands out in front and has an accurate arm. Continuing to work on her blocking positions behind the plate will help her to keep the ball in front of her. Overall Julia is a very coachable player who gives the effort needed to take her game to the next level.
