05/20/2018 - College PREP - Tacoma (Seattle), WA Kayla is a 2022 right handed outfielder and second baseman with a developing skill set. In the outfield, she takes good angles to the ball and stays low in her fielding position. She has a clean exchange on her throws to her target and shows accuracy in her arm. She sets her feet well behind the ball to come through each play and creates solid momentum through her throw. In the infield, she has range to her glove side and has a good pre pitch motion. She leads out in her throws to her target and makes routine plays. Offensively, Kayla has an open set up in the box and a short stride to the ball. She loads back well in her legs and stays fluid in her rhythm. She is center in her balance and her hips and hips work well together. She makes consistently hard contact. Slapping she has a downward bat path to the ball and stays on time in her footwork through the box. She is fluid in the box and get out quick down the base path. Overall, Kayla hustles hard and if she continues to work hard she will do what it takes to play at the next level.
