01/20/2018 - College PREP - Kapolei (Honolulu), HI Kealiana is a 2021 two-way player as a C/OF. In the box, Kealiana is a RHH that uses a square stance with centered balance. She has a middle of the field approach and generates line drive power. Working to create a weight transfer in her swing will allow her to see an increase in her power production. Behind the plate, Kealiana works hard for her pitcher and communicates well. She receives with a strong wrist, makes a clean exchange and uses a short arm action. She does a nice job of centering the ball when blocking. Staying strong in her stance will allow her to maintain balance and use her legs to generate momentum to her target. In the OF, Kealiana handles the routine play well. She reads the ball off the bat and hustles every play. She presents her glove on time and makes a clean exchange. She gets the ball back to the INF quickly. Working to play through the ball more will allow her to gain ground to her target and get more momentum behind the ball. Overall, Kealiana is a hard-working player and with continued coaching she will take her game to the next level.
